About FamilyIA

Honest educational support for families who want to understand what is happening at home.

What FamilyIA does

FamilyIA is a digital educational assistant designed to help families understand and support their children's everyday life, from birth to adolescence. When a family describes a specific situation —refusing to go to bed, conflicts between siblings, screens, limits that are not respected, or an adolescence that feels distant— the assistant replies with guidance structured in three parts: what might be happening, what can be done today, and what is best avoided. Every answer is grounded in an educational knowledge base organised by age range and domain, and always separates what is observed, what is interpreted and what is only a hypothesis.

Beyond consultations, FamilyIA offers practical resources: guides organised by age range, interactive tools such as checklists, trackers and family agreements, movement and board games, and spaces to save cases and follow them over time. The aim is not to hand out rigid recipes or verdicts, but to offer criteria so that each family can find the answer that fits their child and their context.

Who it is for

FamilyIA is aimed at mothers, fathers, carers and any adult who lives or works with children and teenagers and wants practical, respectful, non-judgemental guidance. It can also help educators, youth leaders and education professionals looking for a starting point to support a specific situation.

Who builds it

FamilyIA is built by Xavi Becerra, an educator, trainer, handball coach and father. The project grows out of everyday experience with children and families, and from the conviction that education improves when adults understand what is happening before deciding what to do. The content is based on educational documentation and reference sources, and is reviewed continuously.

FamilyIA is an educational guidance tool and does not replace professional medical, psychological or social care. When warning signs appear, consulting a professional is always recommended.

You don't always have to have the answer.
